Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (Pid)

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the female reproductive system, including the womb, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Most often PID, develops from a bacterial infection that’s spread from the vagina or the cervix to the reproductive organs higher up. Symptoms may be mild initially, but if untreated can lead to serious problems including future challenges with fertility.
